Submission system

24.4.09 12:31:29

Dear MCPCers,

We have now opened the SUBMISSION system for short and full papers and also presentations (slides). This year we are using an open conference submission software by Public Knowledge Project (see more information at the submission website).

Please open Conference signup at this website and click on "MCPC 2009 Abstract and Paper submission".

You will find a system which provides you an opportunity to submit your MCP-related thoughts, ideas, models, cases and related issues.

Remember that we are first creating a electronic precedings for the conference on-site use (non-exlusive rights). After the conference we produce ISBN/ISSN registrated proceedings of the MCPC2009 which might be important for many of us to get funding for the conference participation and the paper publication. That will be published in the University Working papers series. This working paper series do not
take your copyrights. Finally, after agreement with authors, you can also consider third phase, journal or book publication channels, which will be informed later.

The practical steps are:

  1. Download and utilize the paper template for short and long papers. Note that paper shouldn’t include your name and contact information in initial submission phase. Include them only in the final submission phase. For PowerPoint-presentation, the format of your presentation is free.
  2. Prepare your contribution in word(.doc or .docx) or Powerpoint (.ppt)
  3. Register to OCS-system on this page (Click "Account"). Only information marked with asterix is needed. Register as an "Author".
  4. Click ">> Author" under the MCPC 2009 in "User home"
  5. Click the "Step one of the submission process" and follow the instructions

Let's make a productive MCPC2009 and make interesting submissions for the conferene!

Best conference regards,

Mikko Ruohonen Professor, University of Tampere
